Why do my child's diapers leak?
There are a number of reasons, but most likely it's because they don't fit well. Does the diaper fit snugly at the legs and waist? Being too baggy or too tight can both be reasons why a diaper leaks. Is the child's weight within the range listed on the diaper package? There is some overlap in package weight ranges to accommodate the different ways babies distribute their weight, as well as the different levels of voids which different babies experience. The larger sizes have more absorbency and are designed to handle larger voids. Often diaper leaks indicate that the baby needs to be wearing a different size.

Why do some diapers fit differently than others?
Why does your baby fit into a size Medium in some brands, and in others, a Size Large? Different diaper manufacturers have slightly different standards and specifications. White Cloud's sizing is based on the information we get from parents across the country through home-use tests, discussion groups and "on baby" trials, among other sources.

Why doesn't my child's diaper fit well when his/her weight is specified on the package?
Package weight ranges are general guidelines (sort of like pantyhose charts): that's why there are weight range overlaps among sizes. It's how the weight is distributed that determines the fit of the diaper. A child which is tall and thin may weigh the same as a child who is short and chubby; however, their diaper will fit differently.

Why is there an odor when I open a new package of diapers?
We do not use any fragrance on White Cloud diapers, as most consumers feel diapers should not have any added scent. While we carefully select raw materials and use manufacturing processes to minimize odors, you may get a slight whiff when the package is first opened. We are continually developing lower-odor materials to further improve our diapers. In addition to being perfume and dye free, White Cloud diapers also have a hypoallergenic soft-touch liner.

Why is there a gel coating on my baby's skin after wearing a diaper?
What you're feeling is the super absorbent polymer. It's a highly absorbent material that locks in wetness and is used in most of the disposable diapers on the market. It keeps baby's urine away from the skin, is non-toxic and is very similar to the ingredient used in gel capsules and many skin care products.

Why do I see little bumps or grains of material in the diapers?
Again, this is the super absorbent polymer, which locks in wetness, yet keeps baby's urine away from the skin. It is granular when dry and forms a gel when it becomes moist.
